Artificial Intelligence for Business Agility

The stimuli from a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) World are unpredictable and changing faster than before. The continuous developments in technology, increasing usage of the internet, rapid generation of humongous amounts of structured and unstructured data is making it increasingly difficult for us humans to understand these stimuli and make informed decisions quickly and effectively. Enterprises are exploring various alternatives to build capabilities to address these challenges and to deliver value, innovate solutions to address new markets and opportunities in a nimble manner. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one such critical capability explored by them to bring in agility in these complex decision making processes and bring in agility in their business.

We are hosting this conference to bring together Practitioners and Thought Leaders of Artificial Intelligence so that we may all learn from each other and succeed better in enhancing customer delight. This Conference has two broad sub-themes:

  • Business Value delivered using Artificial Intelligence
  • Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Software Development Life Cycle

We are inviting proposals for various types of sessions like Presentation of a Case study, Presentation on a Research paper, Demonstration or a Workshop in the Conference addressing these two sub-themes.

Panel Theme

Developing Ethical Products - Challenges & Solutions

Artificial Intelligence is based upon the bias in the algorithms and data used for training the model. Our biases can thus systemically prejudice the outcomes. AI can also evolve and run the risk of violating social norms, ethics and legal clauses. They can also "Go Rogue" in the face of self-survival. They can also be destructive if controlled by wrong principles. Where do we allow AI and where do we not want AI? How can we prevent these risks from becoming a reality?

How can AI Project leverage Agile methods?

Projects in Artificial Intelligence have their own frameworks. Teams need to deliver their products and services with agility. How can the Manifesto for Agile Software Development and the 12 Principles behind Agile Manifesto enable agile delivery of AI Projects? Or is there a conflict?

Challenges in implementation of Artificial Intelligence

The continuous developments in technology, increasing usage of the internet, rapid generation of humongous amounts of structured and unstructured data is making it increasingly difficult for us to understand the changes in Ecosystem and make informed decisions quickly and effectively. Enterprises are exploring various alternatives to build capabilities to address these challenges and to deliver value, innovate solutions to address new markets and opportunities in a nimble manner. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is explored by them to bring in agility in these complex decision making processes. How does an Enterprise introduce AI in its business strategy? What are the enablers, critical success factors to make it work? What are the known and unknown challenges it will continue to face in its journey of implementing AI?

Benefits of Artificial Intelligence for End-users

Over the last few years, rapid technological developments have led to affordable devices, appliances, services that were not imagined before. Affordable Internet accessibility, data storage, access to digital technology (viz. smartphones), digitization has led to continuous generation of humongous amounts of data, structured and unstructured, across the globe. "Data is the new oil". Enterprises are adopting Artificial Intelligence to leverage this new resource "data" to enhance their decision making capability, make intelligent products, provide better services, improve profitability. Has AI only benefited the enterprises? How has it benefited the individual?
